Parks enters Magners League record book

GLASGOW’S Dan Parks had an extra reason for smiling after his side’s 1872 Cup victory over Edinburugh.

As rugbyweek.com reports, the former Scotland international (right) became the first player to raise 1000 points in the Magners League.

Parks scored 20 points during the Warriors 25-12 victory over the Gunners at Firhill Arena, taking his overall tally to 1001 since he debuted against Connacht in 2003.

Celtic Rugby director David Jordan presented a crystal boot to Parks following the match to mark the occasion.

The Australian-born pivot is also the highest pointscorer in Glasgow’s history. CLICK HERE to read more.
